Chery ranks among top ten in invention patent grants

 

 

Last year, Anhui province saw its invention patent applications and grants hit 34,857 and 4,241, ranking the 7th and 8th across the nation. Of all granted patents on inventions, those filed by its local enterprise Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. amounted to 276, making the company rank the 9th among its peers in China.

"The number of patent applications and grants is a crucial indicator used to evaluate the performance of a company in innovation," said director of the planning and development department under the provincial intellectual property office. In terms of the number of patent filings and grants on inventions in the province, local enterprises submitted 64% of filings and gained 64.1% of grants, a fact that reinforced the important role enterprises played as a main force of innovations. 

Last year, Chery was honored as one of the pioneers that effectively implemented national intellectual property strategies. Strong research capacity ensures its product quality and future development. It has recently launched two new series of products which make it more competitive in motor market.
